"The Night Before Christmas" and "Mr. Tumble's Busy Bus Day" both receive Royal Television Society NW Nominations
The nominations for Best Pre-School Children's Programme 2022 have been announced today, with CBeebies Christmas Show The Night Before Christmas and Easter Special Mr. Tumble's Busy Bus Day both in the running.
The two shows feature original music from Banks & Wag.
The Night Before Christmas was filmed at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth last year with a live band. A host of CBeebies stars return to the stage with a unique adaptation of the classic poem. Sing, dance, boo and cheer as Holly embarks on a festive adventure to try and stop the wicked Wish Taker ruining Christmas. With a script by Nathan Cockerill.
Mr. Tumble's Busy Bus Day follows the misadventures of CBeebies' megastar Mr. Tumble. It’s a very special day for Grandad Tumble. He’s getting a lifetime achievement award for all of his hard work over the years driving buses. Aunt Polly and Baker Tumble are planning to make a huge chocolate cake, and Mr Tumble will be there to help celebrate too. Unfortunately, when Mr Tumble arrives at the bus museum, he’s mistaken for the new cleaner and is set to work by the manager. He tries his very best, but accidents will happen! There’s a lot of mess, a tour group to manage, an escaped dog and a sing-song or two! Justin Fletcher stars, alongside Nina Wadia and George Webster.
The results are announced on Saturday 26th November.
